GE Healthcare and European Society of Radiology Extend Partnership for ECR 2024

GE HealthCare and the European Society of Radiology (ESR) are thrilled to announce the renewal of their collaboration for the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2024, to be held from February 28 to March 3 in Vienna, Austria. Under the theme “Next Generation Radiology,” this congress will serve as a platform for showcasing the latest advancements and innovations in the field.

The collaboration aims to emphasize GE HealthCare’s dedication to advancing precision care, particularly in the domains of oncology, cardiology, and neurology. Through this partnership, GE HealthCare seeks to highlight its commitment to improving patient outcomes and driving the future of healthcare.

Elie Chaillot, President and CEO of GE HealthCare International, expressed excitement about continuing the collaboration with the European Society of Radiology. He emphasized GE HealthCare’s mission to elevate healthcare by providing insights for better, more targeted, and individualized patient care. Chaillot stressed the importance of collaboration between industry, academia, healthcare professionals, and patient groups in achieving this goal.

Prof. Carlo Catalano, President of ESR, highlighted the significance of the congress, stating that radiologists are at the dawn of a new era: the era of “Next Generation Radiology.” He underscored the pivotal role of radiologists in transforming healthcare and expressed pride in partnering with GE HealthCare to advance precision medicine through data, technology, and collaboration.

During ECR 2024, Elie Chaillot will join an ESR session alongside Prof. Carlo Catalano to discuss GE HealthCare’s care pathways approach and dedication to precision care. The event will also feature three clinical symposia focusing on neurology, oncology, and cardiology, offering insights from industry leaders and renowned experts.

Moreover, GE HealthCare will launch a unique women’s health mobile screening solution at ECR 2024. This solution aims to provide access to care and early breast cancer detection to all women, regardless of their location. Elie Chaillot highlighted the importance of addressing breast cancer, the most prevalent cancer among women globally, representing 25% of all female cancers.

GE HealthCare’s women’s health mobile screening solution will showcase the latest advancements in breast care, including mammography, AI-enabled solutions, ultrasound, and Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS). Through an immersive experience, attendees will have the opportunity to witness firsthand the technological strides in breast cancer detection and management.

In summary, the collaboration between GE HealthCare and the European Society of Radiology for ECR 2024 underscores a shared commitment to advancing precision care and driving innovation in healthcare. The congress will serve as a vital platform for exchanging knowledge, fostering collaboration, and shaping the future of radiology.
